Marion, was born in Philadelphia PA and moved to Lansdowne, PA in the early sixty’s with his family. Raised in Lansdowne he attended elementary and middle-schools in the borough and graduated from Lansdowne-Aldan High School. During that time Homer played sports like football, baseball, wrestling and ran track. He attended Delaware County Community College obtaining an Associate Degree in Data Processing.
Homer worked for a short time at Haverford General Hospital in the operating room as an OR Tech before starting a 20-year career at Sun Oil in various IT positions. Homer worked for Meridian Bank as a Network Engineer before moving to Bank of America where he is currently employed supporting Bank of America’s domestic and international network via Cisco consulting. Homer is working on his 24th year at Bank of America. Also, during this time Homer was active in sports, playing softball for Sun Oil and Bank of America’s inter-department leagues and Semi-Pro Football with the Upper Darby Sharks during the late seventies into the early eighties. UD Sharks were part of the Delaware Valley Semi-Pro League.
After living in West Philadelphia for a short period and serving as a Block Captain during that time, he moved back to Yeadon. Homer who has been married to his wife Diane for the last 19 years. Homer and Diane are the proud parents of four grown children and grandparents of four grands ranging in years from 8 to 22 years old. While living in Yeadon Homer has served the Yeadon community as a member of Fellowship of the Doers and as Secretary for the Yeadon Economic Development Corporation for the last 8 years. Homer is committed to doing his part to help Yeadon grow and prosper during these challenging times.
